An information session will be held this Thursday to inform the public about a historic event that will take place in Rolle next spring.

With two days of festive entertainment planned for 4 and 5 June, Rolle 1900, Ah la Belle Epoque, will transport the town of Rolle, into the famous era of “the Belle Epoque”!

Everyone, including both residents and non-residents of Rolle, is invited to take part in the inaugural edition of this annual festive occasion, which will see the Grand Rue and port areas of Rolle transformed beyond recognition. With so many special animations planned for this momentous occasion, the organizers are inviting everyone from artisans, boatmen, singers and lace makers through to hairdressers, actors, shopkeepers, and cooks to join them at a special meeting to see where their skills can best be put to use throughout the festivities.

Following its huge success in Lausanne last year, the Foxtrail urban treasure hunt invites the public once again to take up the trail challenge this summer and attempt to decipher its cryptic clues laid strategically in and around the city.

Popular all year round with families, groups of friends, and work colleagues, Foxtrail allows participants to explore the city of Lausanne by embarking on a treasure hunt, which encompasses some of the most important highlights of the city. The “Citi” trail leads directly to the heart of the city, via historic landmarks and the Olympic museum. Hidden messages, doors that can only be opened with a special code, and intricate puzzles transform the tour into an exciting adventure for all ages!

Would you like to know what kind of fish inhabit the waters of this huge natural basin? Or have you ever considered whether there might be any wrecks worth exploring beneath the huge 580km2 surface area?

Of course, you can find the answers to these questions…and more… by studying the numerous books written about the lake, or just browsing the internet. But what better way to discover the facts behind Lake Geneva than exploring the waters for yourself, with the aid of a fully qualified, highly experienced diving instructor?

May and June are usually two of the busiest months on knowitall.ch and this year is no exception. Over the last few weeks we have received a record number of requests to post information about summer camps on our Activities Calendar for Kids, and the emails are still coming in!

An exciting new program of activities and events is being planned for children and their families at this year’s Lilibiggs Festival Pour Enfants in Bougy-Villars, Vaud.

Sponsored by Migros, the festival will take place over 2 days at the popular Signal-de-Bougy park, on 18 and 19 July, 2015. This year’s event will feature lots of new activities for children and their parents and will draw on the support of many local artists and musicians to offer entertainment ranging from music, magicians, and circus presentations, through to story-telling, a juggling class, Tai Chi lessons, and a special workshop focusing on the 5 senses. The Surfrider Foundation will also be present with lots of great ideas on how to keep beaches, lakes and rivers clean. In addition, there will a special games area focusing on traditional, wooden board games, the likes of which many young kids will never have seen before!
